A Message From Roxie

Hi, I’m Anginet "Roxie" Anderson, the heart, voice, and hand behind Roxie and the Mental Felts.

I’m an award-winning photographer, singer, motivational speaker, and mental health educator. As someone who has faced the complexities of mental health firsthand, I’ve learned that reconnecting with what makes us feel alive is key to healing. For me, that meant rediscovering childhood passions: singing, voice acting, dreaming of being on stage, and my love for puppets.

What began as a deeply personal journey grew into something extraordinary when The Mental Felts came to life. More than puppets, they’re reflections of the parts of myself I’ve wrestled with and learned to love. Together, we bring humor, honesty, and heart to conversations about mental health, helping others understand that it’s okay to not be okay—and that healing is always possible.

Through speaking engagements, workshops, trainings, and the show, Roxie and the Mental Felts create spaces where complex emotions feel approachable and recovery feels within reach. We also educate professionals—medical students, mental health providers, police officers, and more—on trauma-informed approaches that see the human behind the illness.

Our mission is simple: to inspire hope, foster empathy, and remind people that their story matters. Whether you meet us onstage, through the show, or in a workshop, our hope is to leave you with more light, more laughter, and a reminder that you matter.
